Dr. Aldo F. Berti is a neurological surgeon specializing in complex spine surgery, brain and spinal tumors and stereotactic radiosurgery with CyberKnife and Gamma Knife technologies. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American College of Surgeon and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the Miami Neurosurgical Institute.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Berti started his career as a neurosurgical intern at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his residency, becoming a Chief Resident, at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida.
He is a member of the American College Surgeons, CyberKnife Society, International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery, International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society, the Society for Neuro-Oncology, and Latin American Neurosurgical Society USA – Canada, among others. Doctor Berti has privileges at the CyberKnife Center of Miami, University of Miami Hospital, South Miami Hospital a member of Baptist Health Systems, and at the Instituto de Neurocirugia, Neurologia y Rehabilitacion, Lima, Peru.
Dr. Berti’s Institute caters to patients that come from all corners of the world seeking the best care and top-of-the-line treatments that the field of neurosurgery has to offer. Dr. Berti also operates in Lima, Peru, where he founded and directs Neurosurgical Associates, and INNER. These Institutions have become the top neurosurgical centers in the country since they began treating patients in 1994. He pioneered LINAC based stereotactic radio surgery in Peru in 2003, and continues to apply it successfully in local and international patients.
